Frequently asked questions
- Is it safe to upload a bank statement?
- The statement is parsed in memory and the result streamed back to you — nothing is written to disk, stored, or ever seen by a person. There are no accounts, so there's nothing to link the file to you.
- Which banks work?
- The parser handles the common statement conventions: South African formats (FNB, Standard Bank, Capitec, ABSA, Nedbank — trailing-minus, space thousands, Cr/Dr) plus standard US/EU layouts. The free preview shows exactly how your statement parsed before you pay.
- What about scanned statements?
- Scans (photos of paper) contain no readable text and aren't supported — request the digital PDF from your bank's app or internet banking instead.
- What do I get?
- CSV or Excel with four columns: date, description, signed amount (negative = money out), and running balance. CSV matches what accounting-software bank imports expect.
- How many statements can I convert?
